NetAid High School Activists Rally 150,000 Peers on World AIDS Day
In an unprecedented effort around World AIDS Day, over 100 high school students working with NetAid throughout the U.S. will reach more than 150,000 of their peers in a coordinated campaign to raise awareness about the global HIV/AIDS pandemic and poverty.

NetAid Celebrates Teen Activists at 2nd Annual NetAid Global Action Awards

The evening also featured a call to action for others—young and old alike—to follow the honorees’ examples and help make a difference in the lives of the more than one billion people around the world who live on less than $1 a day.

Distinguished Panel to Judge NetAid Global Action Awards
NetAid, a New York-based nonprofit that educates, inspires and empowers young people to fight global poverty, today announced the prestigious judging panel for the 2005 NetAid Global Action Awards. The 14 globally minded individuals will team up to select four high school students in the U.S. who have taken exemplary actions to fight global poverty.

NetAid Turns Students into Advocates against Global Poverty
NetAid will host more than 50 high school students for a week-long summit in New York City on global poverty, beginning on July 24. The students will learn from leading experts including the president of the National Peace Corps Association, Kevin Quigley, the U.S. director of the Global Campaign for Education, Gene Sperling, and the U.S. coordinator of the Millennium Development Goals Campaign, Carol Welch, and will return home to train their peers and lead their communities in campaigns to improve the lives of the of the world’s poor.
